A young French piano prodigy and winner of the 2024 Les Virtuoses du Cœur competition, Sacha Morin invites you on a musical journey through the works of Bach, Beethoven and Schubert.

Sacha Morin presents a recital that explores a range of moods, moving between introspection, dramatic tension and lyrical expression. From the spiritual depth of the Baroque to the passionate expression of the Classical period, this programme highlights the full richness of human emotions and the art of the piano as a language of intimacy.

Winner of first prize at the ‘Les Virtuoses du Cœur’ international competition in 2024, Sacha Morin is described as ‘a name to watch among the next generation of French pianists’ (Benoît Fauchet, Diapason 2023).

He has performed in concert in several countries, including France, Romania and Switzerland, and notably shared the stage with conductor Bruno Mantovani in Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major in 2021. That same year, he performed Bach’s Double Concerto BWV 1061 at the Nuits Pianistiques festival in Aix-en-Provence.

At the age of 12, he performed under the baton of conductor Ariane Matiakh with the Auvergne Orchestra.

Sacha Morin is currently studying at the CNSMDP in Emmanuel Strosser’s class, where he was admitted at the age of 17.

He regularly gives recitals in numerous European cities, notably at the Salle Molière in Lyon, the Bragadiru and Mogosoaia Palaces in Bucharest, the Saint-Étienne Opera House, and the Mucem in Marseille… He is a regular guest at numerous festivals: the George Enescu Festival, the Festival des Arcs, L’Autre Saison, the Société Marseillaise des Amis de Frédéric Chopin, l’Offrande Musicale, Musique à Vars…

In 2024, he stepped in at short notice to replace Augustin Dumay and the Hermès Quartet at the L’Autre Saison festival, giving a four-hand concert with pianist Michel Dalberto. He will perform alongside him twice at the Festival-Académie des Arcs in July 2024.

Sacha Morin appeared on France Musique in 2021 on the programme “Un Été Classique”, presented by Philippe Cassard, and then on the programme “Générations France Musique” in 2022.

*Le Monde* described him as a “19-year-old piano prodigy” (October 2023) in an article dedicated to his concert at the *l’Autre Saison* festival, which was announced on the *Matinale de France Musique* programme presented by Jean-Baptiste Urbain.

In 2023, *Diapason* featured him in an article in its “Young Talents” section ’ section.

He was also highlighted by the Enescu Festival in ‘Revista Festivalului’ for his work as a chamber musician.

A chamber musician highly regarded by his peers, he performs alongside eminent musicians such as Anne Gastinel, David Grimal, Diemut Poppen, Philippe Cassard and Michel Dalberto…

Alongside his studies at the CNSM, Sacha works regularly with renowned pianists such as Philippe Cassard, Michel Dalberto, David Fray, Jean-Philippe Collard, Boris Berman, Claire Désert, Florent Boffard, Bernard D’Ascoli and Laurent Cabasso…
